Packing Instructions for DMS Vertical Packs
  1. Move cargo straps clear of deck.
  2. Remove the doors from the unit and pack in the scored sheet, following the packing DMS Doors Instructions.
  3. Load the Unit onto the pallet, in one of the following ways: a) Lower in place with hoisting equipment and mount bars and "S" brackets as shown. b) Tip the unit over onto some blocks at least 3", high. Mount two of the steel "S" brackets to one end of the pallet (see below). Position the pallet onto the base of the unit, allowing it to hang by the "S" brackets. Mount 4 bar nuts into the holes in the base of the unit and secure with bolts. Finally, tip the unit and pallet back into the upright position.
  4. Mount the remaining two "S" brackets and tighten all bolts to secure the unit.
  5. Position the packaged doors vertically onto the side of the base (along the front or back of the DMS unit).
  6. Using the loose cargo strap provided, secure the doors to the DMS unit about 2/3 of the way up.
  7. Place the c-folds on the deck, up against the side rails.
  8. Secure the c-folds around the base with squarehead nails.
  9. Put the tray in place. The pads inside of the tray should fall between the top of the unit and the c-folds.
  10. Secure cap with cargo straps. See Cargo Strap Buckling Instructions.
